Harriet Mae Darby (Cassaday)

Harriet Mae Darby, nee Cassaday, 88, of Pilesgrove, NJ, wife of the late Theodore Darby, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2016, in South Jersey Extended Care, Bridgeton. Born in Hardingville, she lived in Franklinville for 10 years. She was a housewife and homemaker. Mae attended Glassboro High School, was a member of Ferrell United Methodist Church, and was an avid traveler having lived in Oklahoma and Florida. She loved the outdoors, especially horses and cats, needlework, painting and playing Bingo. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Verna and LeRoy Cassaday, and her brothers, Raymond (Helen) and Carl. Mae is survived by her brother, Joseph W. Cassaday, Sr. and his wife, Caroline; nephews, Jimmy Cassaday, Lou Cassaday (Liz), and Joseph Cassaday, Jr.; nieces, Barbara Romano, Barbara Stephens (Dan), Kathleen Terry (Robert), and Carolynn Foote (Michael); and great nieces and nephews, David Stephens, Grace and Luke Stephens, Gregory Terry, Dana and Olivia Terry, Benjamin and Aaron Foote, and Lou Cassaday, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM in MATHIS FUNERAL HOME, 43 N. Delsea Drive, Glassboro, NJ, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maddie and Friends, Inc.
